Perfecting Tradition

Since 1987, deep in the heart of Maxwell Food Centre, Tian Tian began its journey. A humble hawker stall into the home of arguably Singapore's most famous Hainanese Chicken Rice.

A Family Tradition

Started from a passion for authentic Hainanese cooking, Tian Tian remains rooted in family heritage, dedicated to serving consistent flavour for decades.

Our Famous Rice

Our rice is exceptional enough to be savoured alone! Light, smooth, subtly buttery, and graced with a hint of garlic.

Refreshingly Chilled, Perfectly Poised

Our steamed chicken is deliberately served slightly chilled – wonderfully refreshing and light on a hot Singapore day. This method enhances the chicken's texture, helping create that sought-after silky, gelatinous layer just beneath the skin.

Passion, Skill, and a Watchful Eye

Tian Tian's success story is founded on the courage, skill, and passion of Madam Foo Kui Lian. Even beyond retirement age, her watchful, experienced eye continues to preside over the quality at every branch.

Esteemed Visitors & Acclaimed Taste

From national figures to celebrities, many have recognised Tian Tian's special flavour. Tian Tian was visited from accolades and guides like Makansutra and publications from Straits Times.

Undoubtedly a crowd favorite, evident from its consistently long queue. 🍗🍚

[+] Despite the long lines, orders are processed quickly as the rice and chicken portions are pre-prepped, ensuring minimal waiting time.
[+] The steamed chicken is incredibly tender and juicy, with a savory, flavorful skin. The roasted version adds a crispy exterior for an extra layer of texture.
[+] The Hainanese rice is perfectly cooked—fluffy, not mushy, and delicately seasoned, complementing the chicken beautifully.

It’s no wonder the queue is always long—Tian Tian delivers a quintessential Hainanese chicken rice experience worth every bite.

Following the paths of the Great Anthony Bourdain is something truly fulfilling! I'm the happiest man alive right now. This is a must see/eat place if you are a fan of "No reservations" or "Parts Unknown".

Get yourself sorted and try the delicious Hainanese Chicken here. It is really juicy and the aromatic rice is really nice! You won't be disappointed!

You absolutely must visit this place when you are in Singapore. They We decided to have chicken and rice from Tiantian Booth which was recommended by Anthony Bourdain.

Absolutely fantastic. The line moves quickly. Pak choi with oyster sauce was great.

The chicken rice we had here rivals the one we enjoyed at Katong Mall, placing it firmly in our top three list of favorite chicken rice spots.

The flavor and texture of the chicken, coupled with the fragrant rice, were exceptional and left a lasting impression. We'll definitely be returning for more of this delicious dish in the future.

We came early, shortly after opening so the food court area was not to crowded and easy to find a seat near the stall.

The chicken was moist and delicious. I enjoyed both the steamed and roasted chicken. I liked the roasted one slightly better, but try both if it if is your first time. If you like garlic packs a punch....very yummy! The side of cucumber looking vegetables on the side was great compliment to the meal.

There is always a queue for this, partly as it was famously visited by Anthony Bourdain and also as its really good rice and chicken. It doesnt look like a wow dish but it is super tasty and worth the wait. I probably wouldnt bother with the salad you can have as a side (I had it but wouldnt again) but get a large portion of the rice. I am not sure what they do, but its succulent, moist and tasty.

I would advise getting your drink first so you dont have to carry the tray too far and know what you want before you get to the till area. This was one of the highlights of my trip food wise. Also make sure you clear your tray and table after- its the law!

The chicken rice is delicious as many people reviewed. I recommend you to try if you have a chance to visit Maxwell food center in China town.

The line is quite long, which I waited around 10-15 mins to get my food order at a lunch time. The M size dish is popular for 1 serve.

You can check the food pice list in my uploaded photos. You can py by a credit card as well. Cheers :)
